White Christmas 2012 in Maryland

Hi everyone!

We at Southwind Farm hope you had a very Merry Christmas!! We were blessed to have a white Christmas this year with snow falling on Christmas Eve in the afternoon/evening, and now more snow today! Although it isn't much, we are excited to have our first white Christmas in a long time. Our farm is very beautiful covered in snow! The horses are happy and warm in their stalls. We hope that everyone stays safe and is able to enjoy this beautiful gift! Here is a photo of our farm from Monday:

We are located in Northern Montgomery County, MD in Damascus. We have a 60-acre facility that includes two barns with over 50 matted stalls and windows, a large indoor arena with automatic watering, two outdoor arenas and tons of jumps along with a cross-country schooling course! Thankful for this gorgeous winter weather in Maryland!

Happy Monday everyone!

Can you believe it's December already? We wanted to check in and wish everyone a happy and healthy week ahead.  Saturday, we attended a special event at The Surrey, to help benefit The Maryland Fund for Horses. What a great turnout! Thanks to everyone who was able to make it.
Also, here at Southwind Farm Inc. this week, we are very thankful for this temperature warm up! Especially the horses! After hitting an early cold spell, these last couple of days in the 50's and today in the 60's are a wonderful blessing. Tomorrow is supposed to be a high of 70! Be sure to take advantage of this December gift and go spend some quality time with your horse, if you can. :)
