Saying Goodbye Is Never Easy
Last week, Sheri and the Southwind Family had to say goodbye to her beloved beagle, Emmie. Emmie was a great dog that Sheri had since she was a puppy and it was just her time. Emmie will be greatly missed around the farm, and her memories will not be forgotten!

Updates from Northern Light Farm
Good Morning Everyone,
We wanted to give you updates this morning from Northern Light Farm!
First off we have to welcome Amanda and Ashlyn Halliday to Southwind Farm and congratulate them on their new pony Vanna. We are very excited to have them here and are searching for a second horse for her mother Amanda!
The Northern Light crew went to Swan Lake Stables last weekend and had a wonderful first show of the season. Not only did they come away with five Champions, we had some amazing breakthroughs.
What a bang to start the year with! We are so very proud of all our riders and horses and their accomplishments that Sunday.
Ashlyn also took her new pony Wheel of Fortune aka Vanna to Swan Lake and cleaned up with two Champion ribbons. Ashlyn was a star and went for the gold by cantering her first course ever at the show! Both mother and trainer were surprised, amazed and proud all in the same breath.
Samantha Steckel showed Northern Light aka Simon and won Champion in the Hopeful Hunter division. It was also her first time doing a course of more than a few jumps. Both Simon and Samantha did a fantastic job. They are a pair to look out for in the future! And thanks Aubrey Mills for grooming for Samantha!
Sofya Krasikova and Cookies and Cream were Champion in both the Short Stirrup and the Childrens Pony division too. They were the last to go and they didn't disappoint us in the least! The pair has been struggling to get all the bits and pieces in line and they did just that. (Very Proud!) Also, Sofya's little sister Marina rode as well and did her very first lead line class. She got a 2nd place ribbon that she really was happy to have!
Way to go everyone!
